telophase: (Kenpachi loves you)
MindHacks links to an article about a marital rating chart from the 1930s. Note that only the Wife's Scale exists. The image reproduced from it shows only the first 12 of 50 Merits and Demerits, and I note that when I tally up the points from them for myself, I score an impressive -2.* It would be higher [ETA: lower, I mean], but I do not currently wear red nail polish and the only time I warm my cold feet on someone, it's because I'm doing the "See how cold I am?! TURN THE HEAT UP!" thing.**

I sort of want to find the full scale now, to see how I rate with the full test.

* I am assuming that if I wore hose with seams, they would always be crooked, because things just do that on me.

** Or revenging myself on someone who's stolen the blanket.

Can people go to http://www.projectbluerose.com/ and tell me if the link to "Project Blue Rose: Human Touch" shows up for you under "Pages". And what your browser/OS is. It's showing up for me in Firefox but not IE on XP and I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY.

ETA: It bizarrely seems to be propagating. Weird.

ETA2: I manage this site with Wordpress, and thus validation errors, etc. are not really under my control. You can stop telling me about them. If they're causing a problem, I'll switch to another Wordpress theme at some point.

The problem seems to be that my Wordpress install is seemingly propagating changes I make to layout, instead of reflecting it instantly. No, I don't understand.

ETA3: Not needed, at least temporarily, as I found an updated version of the Wordpress theme I'm using and shall shortly be installing it to see if it plays better with Wordpress 2.5.1.
telophase: (Project Blue Rose - Jordan and Rivas)
Turns out it's a bug in Wordpress 2.5 that somehow prolongs caching long past the time it ought to. I'm far from the only one experiencing it or frustrated by it.

So if you happen to go to www.projectbluerose.com to, say, PRE-ORDER PROJECT BLUE ROSE: HUMAN TOUCH, then you might find the site not looking like it's changed or like it's not got a thumbnail and link to the new page talking about All the Fishes Come Home to Roost in the sidebar. Don't worry: it should eventually fix itself. :)
