Guys, I got six gifts this year and they all knocked it out of the park. I also did 2 artworks, linked down at the bottom.
All of these are roughly PG or G rated, so no worries about opening at work.
3 artworks, for Little Red Riding Hood, Discworld, and The Mandalorian.Lost in Thought (0 words) by Odalyn
Fandom: Little Red Riding Hood (Fairy Tale), Little Red Riding Hood - All Media Types
A stark image in black, white and red, with wonderful graphic design, depicting the moment before Red's life changes.
Confused math Vimes (0 words) by laughingpineapple
Fandom: Discworld - Terry Pratchett
One of my Generic Prompts is for paparazzi photos of the characters, and laughingpineapple ran with it.
Family Portrait (96 words) by embraidery
Fandom: The Mandalorian (TV)
Another one of my Generic Prompts is, instead of a picture
of a character, a picture
by the character, and embraidery nailed it with this hilarious image.
3 fics, for Hades/Persephone, Little Red Riding Hood, and The Bad Batch:Sugar Free Poetry (428 words) by Missy
Fandom: Ancient Greek Religion & Lore
For my Ancient Greek Religion & Lore prompt I mentioned that the author could take inspiration from the myth and put it into a different genre, SF, eldritch horror, coffeeshop AU, whatever. Missy took "coffeeshop AU" and ran with it, achieving that Dark Academia nostalgic vibe I lap up. :)
into the darkness they go (the beautiful, the tender, the kind) (687 words) by ofmagdala
Fandom: Little Red Riding Hood (Fairy Tale)
ofmagdala's story is a lovely, powerful complement to Odalyn's image above, this time depicting what happens after Red's life changes.
Threads (879 words) by ambiguously
Fandom: Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Cartoon)
ambiguously is a powerhouse in the Star Wars fic-writing fandom, and gave me this lovely story about what happens when Wrecker damages his favorite doll, and Omega steps in to help.
I did 2 artworks this year, primarily 3D renders:with dreams and infinite longing (0 words) by Irusu
Fandom: The Unspoken Name - A.K. Larkwood
Characters: Talasseres Charossa
Summary: Tal's being picturesquely dramatic again
Fun story! I originally matched with this person on a different fandom, because I screwed up and marked that I offered fic as well as art, and they only wanted fic for it. However, they wanted art for
The Unspoken Name, which was something I'd dithered about offering and eventually decided not to. I liked their prompt and so ended up producing a work in this fandom after all. :)
Lazy Afternoon (0 words) by Irusu
Fandom: Original Work
Summary: It's a lazy afternoon, a good time to sit and study a chess book, or just to sit and drink.
This is a picture of Burn & Calli from
Deadfall/
Deadwater. How did I get away with doing a picture of my OCs for a fandom exchange? Because the recipient is my alpha reader.
yhlee asked for two characters playing chess in the "Original Works" fandom, so I gave him a picture of Burn & Calli. Are they playing chess together? Up to you. In my mind, Calli's teaching herself chess strategy from a book while Burn's mostly keeping her and a couple of bottles of something strong company, but you could interpret it other ways, and they're all valid. (It's also a scene that, if it ever takes place, would be many years on from the events of the stories I'm working on now.)
