SEPHIROTH!

Posted again because it was stuck in Toby's head, and he got it stuck in mine and now I am infecting ALL OF YOU. (ytmnd.com)

A student worker is shelf-reading outside my office, and has been for a couple of days. (For you non-librarians, shelf-reading is doing inventory.) She's got a scanner and is taking each book down, scanning it, and putting it back. So it's beep ... beep ... beep ... beep for her entire shift.

While it is mildly annoying to me, I have great sympathy for her, for the beeps are slightly muffled to me but not for her, she has to do this mind-numblingly boring job for her full shift, and the last time I looked, she was not listening to any sort of mp3 player or other device that would, at least, relieve some of the boredom.

Okaaaay.... Amazon review of Math and the Mona Lisa by rampant homophobe who takes issue with the author's discussion of Leonardo's sexuality.

(Alas, the other reviews tend to convince me that the book is a bit too slight to bother with reading, but that one tempts me to say "methinks the author doth protest too much.")

New post up on greatmastersdisasters.com in which I tackle the Mona Lisa! And wade through the oceans of batshit conspiracy theories so you don't have to!

We have bought many toys for Sora, so of course his two favorite toys are a feather toy he's pulled all the feathers off of, leaving a plastic stick with a couple of sad strips of Mylar attached to the end, and a wad of stuffing that Nefer's pulled out of the head of her plushie Hamtaro toy. Sigh.
