Sora

We have bought many toys for Sora, so of course his two favorite toys are a feather toy he's pulled all the feathers off of, leaving a plastic stick with a couple of sad strips of Mylar attached to the end, and a wad of stuffing that Nefer's pulled out of the head of her plushie Hamtaro toy. Sigh.

The Junebug's favorite toy in the world is the plastic bag his butt wipes come in.

Yes, the decrepit plastic stick with two bedraggled bits of Mylar is one of the greatly-beloved cat toys here, too.

I don't know what he sees in it, but he'll play fetch with it. It's currently vanished, which is all to the good as I don't enjoy hearing the ominous sound of it scraping along the floor as he trots to the bedroom with it at 3 in the morning wanting to play.

Xan claimed an accidentally torn-off edge of an old wallet of mine and still prances around with it like it is the greatest prize on the planet, every so often.

Hee! Nefer's favorite toy for a couple of years was a plastic spork. Until she found the Hamtaro. Hamtaro is not long for this world now that he's hemorrhaging stuffing and I haven't found a perfect replacement for him yet, although the catnip-stuffed eyeball toys come close.

Maybe you can shove another stuffed toy into Hamtaro, so the stuffing is contained better than it would be if you just tried to restuff the remains of Hamtaro, but it would still have the same exterior and may still pass the cat sniff test.

Ooh, good idea! Might just have to try that.

Once upon a time I bought an absolutely gorgeous sweater at a thrift store, some 'middle class upscale' brand, 100% pure lambswool. Its only flaw was an extremely ugly felted flower in a hideous dirt brown/yellow color. To my delight, it was sewn on and snipped off extremely easily. Of course, the next question was what to do with the flower. My daughter, then a toddler, thought it was 'pretty,' as everything vaguely flower-shaped was at that point in her life, so I didn't throw it out (or burn it, as anyone sane probably would've). It kicked around the house for a while, until Grey Cat came into our life.

It is her favorite toy IN THE WORLD.
