telophase: (Near - que?)
Does anyone here follow or know of any art blogs where the artist/s experiment with different styles? Bonus points if they're manga/anime styles, but that's not absolutely necessary.

Thanks!

FYI, A Bride's Story (a.k.a. Otoyomegatari) by Kaoru Mori is coming out from Yen Press this week. (Amazon claims Vol 1 is available now, but we all know how Amazon's release dates for manga correspond with reality...)

My squeefest rec from 2009 (short version: Handcrafts! Detailed art! Random anthropologist! Although I note the links I used then are now all broken, as it's being published in the US. Go to the first link above to see samples).

Hey!

Georgette Heyer's Cotillion is free in the Kindle version for the moment. (Don't know if it's limited to the U.S.)

I believe the site is being hammered right now; I'm putting this link here to remember to come back to later: crowdsourcing history by asking people to transcribe pages from Civil War-era diaries.
