The strawberry plant with which I'd replaced the one I killed had produced a very tiny strawberry that I was watching ripen in secret, and I was going to pick it and present it to myrialux today as a surprise...

...and it was eaten by pillbugs! Augh! *goes to google how to discourage pillbugs*
