telophase: (Yachiru - pink)
Especially when it's lilac! And has games with singers and horsies!

OK, I admit I'd play a pink one, but I assure you in a totally ironic manner.
telophase: (mugen - bzuh?)
Reading the comments on an article at Get Rich Slowly, wherein J.D. asked people what they wish they could tell their younger selves. I hit this comment, which made me go Bzuh?!
I wish I could tell myself as a kid not to waste my allowance on stupid crap. I spent it on stuff that I’ve grown out of, like kid’s fiction. Thinking of the total over the years makes me wince.
So ... what should you have bought instead? Grown-up fiction that you didn't like then, because you'd grow into it later?

(I know the poster probably meant that they should have saved it instead of spending it, but the concept of not buying a book I'd like to read now because I won't want to read it at some point in the future is just ... alien.)
telophase: (goku - reading)
P.S. A review of The Manga Guide to Physics and The Manga Guide to Statistics can be found here.

...and Friday's The Big Picture celebrates the Northern hemisphere's hot summer days by featuring photos of divers from around the world - pro and amateur, in competitions and for fun. Including Antarctica. :D

I immediately logged in to Amazon.com and sent a used copy to [personal profile] rachelmanija. With luck, it has this cover on it.

Just finished watching Torchwood: Children of Earth. While I like that they try to make the characters face unthinkable choices, I hate that it's so frickin' contrived to get to that point.

Any of you posted on it earlier, please link me. I saw it go by a lot on the f-list, but didn't read any because I didn't want to be spoiled.
