Con crud

telophase: (manji - not happy)
I decided that since I felt so tired last night, I wouldn't do anything useful after I got home from the grocery store (cold medicine run). Lazing about waiting for Mythbusters to come on, I decided I'd lie down a little bit about 7. Mom phoned at 7:45 and I immediately fell asleep again, waking up at 3. Decided maybe I ought to get out of my clothes and put a nightgown on, read Mushishi 5, fell asleep again until the alarm rang at 7.

And I'm still tired. At work, since the rest of the cold symptoms are mild and I don't have a whole lot of sick leave at the moment, although I expect there's a good chance I'll be out tomorrow if I get worse. I'm supposed to work on Saturday, and it's awkward to get sick this moment as I'm taking a Saturday art class this semester that pretty much kills my ability to trade Saturdays with anyone else. Blarg.

Dragon*Con Panel of Fail. Perhaps not a good idea to read if you're feeling sporky about the lack of representation of the Other in SF.

[livejournal.com profile] tammylee has a rant on SF/F, plus a request for recs of SF/F:
Then again, I haven't read a lot of SF/F in the past five years; so maybe my view is skewed? Are there significant numbers of books out there published women/POC/GLBT protagonists or characters that have value and merit and aren't stereotypes or exist only to provide motivation for the white, male protagonist? (And even if there aren't significant numbers, I'll happily accept recs for books and zines and online stories! =D)

...as that's about all I'm up for right now. Quality only OK, as again I ran these through a batch image processor instead of doing them individually. A couple here and there I adjusted manually when the thing I wanted you to look at was completely hidden in darkness, but most I left alone.

I may not have con crud after all. I may have library crud, as my boss went home at 1:30 with the EXACT SAME symptoms as I have. I went home at 3, and may not show up tomorrow, depending on how sick I am. :)
