telophase: (Near - que?)
Hrm. I'm looking at the stats for the Project Blue Rose website, and as always (same with magatsu.net), there's a few hits from a crunchyroll.com group called "The Deliciousness of Men." Poking about crunchyroll leads me to believe it's a secret group - one that's invite-only and that you can't see the info for unless you receive an invite - which annoys me because I'm not sure if the PBR stuff is getting credited. The doujinshi on magatsu.net being hotlinked is less important than the fact that I think PBR things may be hotlinked without credit so that we can't, y'know, sell these things to people. Anyone here happen to be a member of that group who can tell me? (Long chance, I know.) I may have to resort to making a special image for hotlinkers like I did with Kenpachi-chan that contains sample pics and an ad telling people to go to projectbluerose.com. Or to invite me into their group. :)

And for amusement sake, I present the top 20 search strings that got the Project Blue Rose site this month. (Note that the vast majority - 2/3 or so - are from image searches.)

One of the people I watch over on DA just posted a work in progress, and the second comment received was this (line breaks and spacing preserved):

Pictures on the BBC news site show wedding photos from China that were being taken when the quake struck. Compare picture 1 and picture 4, of the same building.

Yesterday morning, when I awoke to NPR's PRIMARY PRIMARY PRIMARY coverage, I couldn't believe that my first thought was "Oh thank God we're back to the political stuff." Two weeks of waking up to unrelenting tragedy from the cyclone and the earthquake does tend to shift one's viewpoint a bit.

(Mind you, this morning I was back to being annoyed at the political stuff. Relief at it can only go so far.)
telophase: (goku - reading)
Thanks to paperbackswap.com, bookmooch.com, and Amazon.com, I got a fairly good haul of books in the past two days. I've got yet another Eerie, Indiana book (one of my life's goals is to collect the whole series) Halloweird, Scott Pilgrim volume 1 (with volume 2 on its way!), Mishima's Sword: Travels in Search of a Samurai Legend, and Mushishi volume 4. And jsut found out that Shaman Warrior volumes 1 and 2 were posted on paperbackswap.com, so ordered them and put 3-5 on my wishlist, with a automatic-order setting of YES.

Maybe one day I'll have time to sit down and read all of these!
