Whee, got it back from the beta, and it looks like I managed to accomplish what I wanted to accomplish, so there will be much less rewriting than I'd originally envisioned. Whee again! I mostly will take out a few pieces here and there which ended up being leftovers from a previous version of the plot that I don't think contribute anything useful to the story, and ponder things at the sentence level, to see if the prose flows smoothly. (Mostly because I've never managed to finish any of the few stories I've written in enough time to try to do a sentence-level polish, so this is complete uncharted territory. XD)
