In an attempt to generate email for myself with LJ notifications: a poll! I got my hair cut last week (pretty much the same style I've had all summer), and I'm getting it colored this afternoon. My stylist mentioned last week what he'd like to do with it, which mostly consisted of grabbing handfuls of hair and saying "And this here and this here and streaks of this here and here..."

So: a poll! Guess what colors I'm going to end up with. :D For bonus points, explain where you think the colors are going in the comments. :)

And, man but the grammar in "What colors is telophase going to end up with in her hair?" sounds wonky, but I think it's perfectly correct.

How many changes of clothes are you packing? I have three pairs pants, one pair shorts, and a dress, but am contemplating ditching one pair pants. (It's so hot I don't think wearing anything more than once between options is a possibility.)

I haven't laid them all out yet and counted, but I know I've got five shirts and 4 or 5 pairs pants/capris/whatever they are.* I also have this Febreeze-like stuff (which doesn't smell like Febreeze), which can extend hot-weather wear by a day: you spray the stuff on the instant you take it off and let it dry overnight. :)



* Only 3 of which I'll wear. It always happens that way.

P.S. I'm hanging Mom's DVD player over to you the instant I see you in LA. I've already got to carry my camera and the extra lens for it, so my bag is already heavy enough as is. Plan for it when you pack your carry-on. :)

Ack, can you wait till we land? I can put it in my suitcase, but there's no way I can cram any more into my carry-on. (I'm bringing some food to eat on the plane WHICH I WILL SHARE WITH YOU, so I'll have more room after it's eaten.)

The main reason I have so little room in my bag is I hacked off a piece of my foam roll back exerciser and am bringing it. Ever tried that? If you have any upper back issues it's fantastic.

I totally recommend swapping out at least one pair of pants for shorts (or a skirt?). When I visited Japan in October last year, I was sooooo glad I had brought shorts.

It may have sounded slightly less wonky if you'd wrote "What colours will telophase end up with in her hair?" After the colours it sounds like there should be an 'are', but I'm pretty sure in this case 'is' is correct. Don't listen to me though, my grammar has gone to hell since I left secondary school. ;)
