There's a library patron with a service dog who occasionally settles down for some research or study near my office. I never notice they're there until the patron leaves, as they walk right by my door and I hear the dog go PANTPANTPANTPANTPANTPANTPANTPANTPANT. XD I've never seen the patron, as a matter of fact, so his or her presence is entirely encapsulated by a rush of air and a panting dog as they stride past.

Wedding website ahoy! I think I've got all the info on there. Feel free to test out the RSVP form if you want to entertain me. It just dumps into a Google Docs spreadsheet and I'm bored which is easy enough to delete the silly entries from and if Google doesn't have mechanisms in place to prevent SQL injection or what have you, then it's their own damn fault, and on their own servers. So.

Also: invitations 75% done. We've got to get the last few addresses and get them printed out and slapped on envelopes, and get the belly bands (paper strip in a contrasting color) wrapped around the pocketfolds, and then away we go! (although I'm panicking because the guest list is unexpectedly slightly larger for the ceremony an if everyone attends it'll go over the amount allowed. Ack!)

I've also ordered my hairpiece - I'm going for the Grace Kelly hat I linked a while back, after showing a picture of it to my stylist and he said he thought it'd be great. The woman who makes them (or who runs the company that makes them, more accurately) was very nice - I was overwhelmed by choice and so threw myself on her mercy with photos of the dress and me, and took her advice as to what options to pick. I think it'll be awesome. :)

Engagement photography session also booked - it's something we'd not considered previously, but it comes free with the wedding package and she also sold us on a wedding guestbook - it's basically an album of photos from the engagement shoot with white space on the pages that guests can sign. As we hadn't decided on what to do for that sort of thing, we liked it.

Asking for my mom. This is a plant that showed up randomly in her garden this year. It had big trumpet flowers earlier - she sent me a pic which is lost in my inbox somewhere, but this fall when it lost its leaves and developed a big spiky ball seed pod/fruit/whatsit, she pulled it up, to discover its root looks tuberous, sort of like horseradish.

Here's a photo I took of it on the patio, with my foot for scale.
