telophase: (L - boyfriend)
Via the Annals of Improbable Research feed, How to Write a Love Letter; a love letter written in the same style as a college student's essay.
telophase: (Mello - is going to hell // foamchicken)
[livejournal.com profile] dragonscholar needs a bit o'research into characteristics he can use for his Anime Fangirl Fantasy Generator, which produces over-the-top descriptions of male anime heartthrobs. So head over there and post!

(And the comments have already produced the Four Elements of Anime Bishounen - Angsty, Snarky, Brooding, and Cute. Perfectly describes Weiss Kreuz and Saiyuki, if you think about it. XD)
telophase: (Naruto - chibi dattebayo!)
This has not been a good week for anyone I know, it seems. There have been illnesses and deaths of friends, family and pets, evacuations with various and sundry ordeals thereof, bureaucracy, jobs lost or not hired for, frustration, anger, righteous indignation, sadness, fright, and fear.

So, because I've pretty much spent the entire week in front of the computer worried, appalled, or teary-eyed on the behalf of about everyone I know, feel free to post here with something that makes you happy, or makes you smile, or something you're interested in, intrigued by, looking forward to, or that just tends to fall more on the positive side of life.

A few good things form me, to kick it off with: I'm looking forward to an upcoming small get-together with a few friends where we're basically doing a pub-crawl and staggering from place to place until the cops start frowning at us, I'm anticipating my trip to California next month, and I can make my cat drool like a Laborador retriever, which I find immensely amusing because I am easily entertained.

What's up with you?
telophase: (goku - cheeky monkey)
Just came up to the ref desk for the last hour of the day, and one of the (male, white) student workers who left as I arrived was wearing one of those Pakistani (er, I think) items of clothing that look like a knee-length shirt, over a pair of shorts. Due to his brown, wavy, short hair and his neatly cut beard, he reminded me a lot of Marcus from Babylon 5 in a dress, which cheered me up immensely. XD
telophase: (Kougaiji - something smells)
[livejournal.com profile] inkspirit sent me an imp of Numb, which got here today.
Nostalgia! )
telophase: (Near - what are you wearing?)
Near's got some nifty expressions in the latest Death Note chapter, and since I don't have enough Near icons, I am appealing to you for help with captions, since that worked so well with Mello last time.

And one that doesn't need a caption. XD
