I haven't been posting
yuletide recs partly because lots of them are going by on my f-list already, and partly because I feel it obligates me to say something more coherent than "Squee!" about them, but one that I really loved hasn't been mentioned by anyone on the f-list* and I know that a lot of you would love it.
The fandom is Neil Gaiman's American Gods, but you need no knowledge whatsoever of canon: this could be taken as-is and be a standalone tale.
