rachelmanija in an email brought up the idea of Stupid Names in Fiction, or Authors Who Have Tin Ears for English. And I think I'll have a Stupid-Off. Perhaps with separate entries for Works Originally in English and one for Non-English Works, as I suspect that things like "Drizzt Do'Urden" can't really stand up against the insanity that results in "Blues-harp Babysplit."
Yoshihiro Togashi, the mangaka for Hunter x Hunter is DISQUALIFIED for SMOKING CRACK as he would sweep the entire thing hands-down.
So! Nominate stupid names for me! Give me creator name (author or mangaka), the category (English/Non-English), a title or so that the character(s) appears in, and the names!
