Now that I'm working at the library's reference desk on weekends periodically again, I'ma ttempting again to make more headway on the letters from Africa.

For those who've tuned in late and don't know, my parents and I lived in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania for two years when I was a kid, while Dad was doing the research that would eventually become his Ph.D. Mom wrote a bunch of letters home to both sets of grandparents, and one of my ongoing projects is to get them typed in so I can make copies of them and we don't have to worry about the airmail paper they're written on deteriorating any further.

I've got a special filter set up for them, although membership is open - if you want to read the letters, let me know and I'll add you. If you don't know if you're on the filter, I've just posted two letters - check and see if you can see them, or hit the tag below and see if any of the eltters actually come up. :D

Hah! Those of you on my Africa Letters filter* may recall this letter, wherein my mom says that one of our fellow researchers, Dr. John Bindernagel, is going home to Canada, then he and his wife are going to British Columbia to look for Sasquatch.

On the Travel Channel right now there's a show called "On the Trail of Bigfoot" and one of the people they interviewed was ... Dr. John Bindernagel! Who apparently hasn't found Sasquatch yet, but hasn't given up hope.
