So when are you leaving? (I know you said, but my chaos-challenged brain doesn't remember.)

I'll be happy to see whatever you manage to send ... . I'm'a miss you! When are you coming back?
(I'd say, take lots of notes and lots of pix, but that's a lot of work to suggest to someone who's going on vacation!)

I'll take as many photos as possible, and

OK, glad you saw that. Now I have to do a whole bunch of stuff to rearrange things. ARG.

Ha! I do that all the time. XD
It's very satisfying. =p
eee! I'm so excited for your trip! I hope you have loads of fun!

Thanks! I'm getting excited, too. XD I mean, duh, but the last couple of times I went to England I didn't get excited because it was more of a "Yes I'm going again, and I know I'll go there in the future" so it wasn't such a thrill as it used to be.

Plastic bags = good idea. I think I will do the same.

If it's raining when taking pictures, theoretically you can just rip a hole in the bottom of a plastic bag for the end of your lens and take photos reasonably safely that way, but I've never tried it.

Plastic ziploc bags on a trip are always a good idea, anyway. You never know when you'll need to deal with something that's leaking or has lots of little pieces or whatever. I like the 1 gallon freezer Ziplocs for this - they can fit a big bottle of shampoo or whatever and are much tougher than the regular ones.
