A week ago I would have gotten this perfectly. One week back in the NW and I lose MY twang. There's one word up there that I just couldn't figure out at all; let me know what else I got wrong!

It was the word before "Jeet yet?" that I kept missing, despite listening to it over and over.

LOL so true about Coke, bobwahr and chili!

I get the same thing - my mom's side of the family taught me to speak without an accent, but having come from MS & TX the accent comes out in moments of high emotion. That's gotten me more than one strange look from ex-girlfriends when arguments occurred - "Do you hear your voice right now?" *quizzical expression*

XD As an English girl who knows pretty much nothing about American accents, vocabulary re-education very much appreciated! (And y'all leave the beans out of your chilli? What's up with that?)
