XD As an English girl who knows pretty much nothing about American accents, vocabulary re-education very much appreciated! (And y'all leave the beans out of your chilli? What's up with that?)

Proper chili does not contain beans! Sauce and meat only, and preferably cut-up meat that has tenderized and shredded under its own power from the slow cookng, and not ground beef. Now, should you wish to take your side dish of ranch-style beans and stir it into the chili along with, perhaps, cheese and sour cream, and whatever floats your boat, you may, but it is not pure chili. And proper chili isn't made with that red chili powder you get in plastic jars at the supermarket, it's made from lovingly hand-roasted and ground chiles. (Make sure you have good ventilation - that stuff will float up and make your eyes water and your throat and nasal passages burn as you're making it. XD)

For the Ls - it's "chili," not "chilli." :)
