Jan. 28th, 2022 01:18 pmSo the cover reveal for Nona the Ninth, book 3 in Tamsyn Muir's Locked Tomb trilogy, happened yesterday. The artist, Tommy Arnold, has a limited-time (through noon EST on Monday) purchase open for prints of it, or for an edition of all 3 covers so far. Which I have now ordered.
Last time I read the comments about the cover on Reddit, everyone was talking about how it was so different in tone from books 1 and 2 and I'm...sure, ok Nona is happy and smiling and there's a dog on the cover, but have you counted the legs on the dog??
Interview with Muir over on Vox that does have minor spoilers as to who Nona is. If you prefer to avoid those spoilers, I will reassure you that Muir also says that the dog lives.
Given that it's a series with necromancers...
