Apr. 14th, 2013 04:36 pmHah--today we went out to breakfast at our nearby diner-type place and halfway through Toby looked something up on his phone. I'm sure other people look at us and think "Oh, too bad, they can't put their phones away and talk to each other for just one meal!" What they don't realize is that we're usually looking something up that came up in conversation, to add to it, because it drives us both nuts not to have facts germane to a discussion when there's the entirety of human knowledge* right there at our fingertips. But I suspect I am preaching to the choir here.
At any rate, he looked at the date and realized it was our anniversary. We'd both forgotten it.
As the first anniversary gifts are supposed to be paper, we ceremonially exchanged napkins, then finished our meal.
* Well, not all of it, I admit.
