Toby and I just got back from watching a production of
Greater Tuna. If you do not have the pleasure of being acquainted with this play,* it is a two-man show depicting a number of characters in the small town of
Tuna, Texas ("Texas' third smallest town, where the Lion's Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies."). And between our various sets of relatives, Toby and I are pretty sure we're related to people exactly like every single character in there. And judging by the laughter and applause, the same could be said for much of the audience.
One down of our fall theatre obligations: next up is to watch Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert snark at each other near the beginning of November.
* There's a filmed version of the stage play available through Netflix. Go, thou, and rent!
