Anybody read this?
Mirror Maze
by Michaele Jordan. I've read the Kindle sample and am intrigued, but the way the narrative jumps from head to head is a bit off-putting. It doesn't go from one person to the next and then back again in one scene, but as one scene finishes, the "camera" follows in the head of the other person as they go into the next scene. You have to read carefully to keep track of the pronouns between paragraphs.
So: if you've read it, is it annoying in the rest of the book?
(Also one of the reviews praises her knowledge of the Victorian era, but the first sentence contains "the carriage took the corner" which sounds excessively modern to me and took me a back a bit.)
