Computer lurching back to life: got it working enough to VPN in to work from it, although I haven't restored software, files, nor bookmarks yet.

And the reason I'm working form home is that this cold or upper respiratory whatsit I've got has given me vertigo, and I'd rather not drive. It's better than it was when I first woke up, at least, so I'm keeping an eye on it before deciding whether or not to call a doc. (I don't have any other symptoms of the Go Immediately sort, and allergies have given me vertigo before when they did a number on my inner ear for a couple of days.)

At any rate, you'll be happy to know we saved the Sims save games before torching the OS and reinstalling. I'm not sure how y'all would survive without my updates on those.

(There was something else I was going to say, but I got distracted by taking a photo of Nefer, who has smushed her head up into a corner of the chair she's on and is looking somewhat silly, and forgot it.)

I am now getting run down from this cold/what-have-you and my brainpower is just about as much as it takes to write one of these up.

So. Can't Sleep Sims Will Eat Me 5. Primary action: creepy woman stalks Genghis, but gets out-creeped by him. Beecher fails to score with any woman.

Also, while the vertigo is held in check by the DayQuil, a general sense of blah-ness has been steadily growing. Blah.
