Sep. 2nd, 2011 02:59 pmHeads-up!
sartorias's YA novel Once a Princess is up for free in its ebook format: Kindle Nook
ETA: Actually not sure what genre it is.
sartorias says "romantic fantasy," and the Amazon copy includes "Warning: This title contains a kick-butt mother-daughter team, a wicked king, a witty pirate with an unfortunate taste for neon colors, inept resistance fighters, a dreamy prince who gallops earnestly hither and yon, and a kick-butt princess in waiting." So have at it!

I was pointed to this site, AfricanDigitalArt.com, and most especially this post, a selection of stunning B&W portraits of African people from a number of different tribes and regions. Also: the photographer's Flickr site.
