Back at work (electronically, as my car is in the shop), and now have SCADS and SCADS of email to go through. I may or may not get to answering all the tons of comments I picked up in the last couple of days. :) Just FYI.

Last night I dreamed I was on Iron Chef - but it wasn't on any of the sets, it was set in an old cathedral. And I was more practicing for it during the first part, and then somehow segued into the actual competition, where I was getting panicky because I'd forgotten half my dishes.

The only thing I remember making was a pork loin that soaked first in a mix of honey and grape juice, and then I crusted it with a mix of crushed spices, including cinnamon and star anise, and then I also dusted cinnamon over ... something with potatoes in it. There was at least one more dish, but I can't remember. The theme I'd picked was "Along the Silk Road". I'm not sure what the theme ingredient was - presumably cinnamon, as I used it in both dishes. XD

The amusing thing is I think the pork dish might not be entirely bad, given some tweaking ... honey, fruit, and spices like that all go with pork.
