Nokia 9300?

Does anyone know if I can use the keyboard of a Nokia 9300 for text messages? Not for email - I'm not getting a data plan*. But I can get a refurb 9300 for $50 when I renew my cell plan. I've got wrist RSI that make it painful to text using regular phone keypads, and the 9300 keyboard, although small, would help a bit with that. I know it's larger and thicker than a lot of other phones but my small phone makes my wrist hurt when I hold it for long periods of time. :)

However, if I can't use the keyboard for texting, I'd rather go for a flip phone that won't get the screen scratched in my bag, and they have a lot of those I can get for free.


* If I wanted a mobile device with a data plan, I'd go for an iPhone.
