I have seven minutes to blog before I get kicked off! In Kyoto with Rachel, of course, and homasse, waiting in the Visitor Info Center for torrential rain to stop.

We went to the Inari Shrine today, and walked around a lot. homasse and Rachel got bit by mosquitos, which ignored me. After years of being the Designated Mosquito Target, I am enjoying this.

And then we went to the izakaya-type place that Rachel and I went last night, which specializes in Things Onna Stick, for a late, leisurely lunch. It's on the 10th floor of the department store attached to the Kyoto station, and has a spectacular view of Kyoto. We had quail eggs onna stick, pork-wrapped asparagus onna stick, grilled chicken skin onna stick, grilled chicken onna stick, grilled shiitake mushrooms onna stick, and lots of other thigns onna stick, all good. Recommended if you visit Kyoto.
