Mar. 12th, 2006 10:06 pmOperation Bring Lunch To Work is going along swimmingly - I cooked enough today to have leftovers good for four meals, which allows me to eat four lunches and then go out one day.
Provided I remember to take them to work, which isn't actually a given.
I have also discovered that the fish sauce I own is lousy, because it has no fish sauce flavor and is nothing but salt. *sigh* Must trek out to the Asian market, since it looks like the nearby grocery store, despite having a much better selection of Asian stuff than the usual grocery store does, stocks crap stuff. (well, which I suspected, but I bought the fish sauce some time ago.)
And warm Thai-style pork on top of oranges is ... interesting. The flavors blended better after the orange pieces warmed up, but never really meshed, partly due to the salt-only fish sauce and partly, I think, because I discovered a lime in the fridge that hadn't started growwing fuzz and decided to throw it in. I shall probably eat the leftover pork stuff rolled in lettuce with sticky rice instead of with oranges.
