They upgraded my work machine to XP today, and even though the IS guy supervising the operation gave my coworker the wrong instructions at one point which b0rked the backup of the old machine they do as part of the upgrade, I am 99.999999% OK because I'd already copied my important stuff to the network drive.*

The .0000000001% not OK is because I forgot to copy my bookmarks (annoying but liveable), and I forgot to write down the name of the free news server that I read Usenet from. HOWEVER ... the reason I'm posting this here is that somewhere, sometime, fairly recently, I posted a reply to ONE OF YOU (and I'm looking at you [livejournal.com profile] thomasyan**) where I named it and said that I was happy with it. A quick look didn't find it, but I'm hoping it jogs someone's memory.

* I am not quite as with-it as I sound: I didn't realize they'd be doing the backup. Good thing I didn't know, huh? Well, I'd probably have copied them over anyway, but you never know.

** I scanned your LJ and didn't see it, and wondering if I replied to you in someone else's LJ with it, maybe? I dunno.

Since I've just been upgraded to XP at work, I'm looking for The Perfect Wallpaper(TM) to go on my monitor. I'm picky, and have also just spent an irritated few minutes reporting the hell out of someone who's uploaded a wallpaper of mine to a wallpaper gallery after cutting off the signature*, and must get back to inking, so I can't really spare much time. So I figure I'd post my requirements here and see if anyone knew of anything that matched 'em or was inspired, and get back to work. Who knows? Stranger things have happened.

OK - I'm looking for wallpapers that are: Requirements! )
*Here, if you're curious. The top left one with the red background. Note how they deftly cut the signature - and half of his feet - out of the image. We'll see how fast the mods take it down after I report it...
