(no subject)

Most of you who read this and squee over Saiyuki with me already read oyceter and thus know this, but she's reading Saiyuki for the first time and posting about it. The interesting part is that she's somewhat familiar with the original "Journey to the West" story and talks a bit about the similarities and differences (more similarities than I expected, actually). Also a bit on the Chinese version, since that's what she's reading. She's only up to volume 4 so far, so spoil her and die.

Another mysterious package!

Today in my mailbox there was a mysterious package with the return address reading only "John Doe." Intrigued, I opened it, and emerging with a whiff of incense, I found ...

I'll let everyone else guess who sent it; the envelope itself offered a couple of minor clues. ;)
