Question on InDesign...
...does anyone out there know how to add a page to the front of the document without messing up the page numbering? As in, I have a digital book I've put together* that I'm uploading to Lulu for a print-on-demand kinda thing, but I also want to create an ebook version for which I need to add the cover at the front of the document. If I'm making sense.
The answer is probably out there online or in the Help, but I'm sleepy enough that I can't come up with the proper search terms at the moment.
I used to be able to do this in Acrobat Pro, but it seems that didn't come with my CS5 setup, and the version I have is probably too old to install onto Win7.
* Which I've discussed before under f-lock, but not this specific plan publicly as it's a surprise for someone who occasionally reads my f-list.

I did make a separate master for the cover pages, and inserted them at the beginning of the document. While that means no page numbers on those pages, it did shift the page numbering on the rest. To counter this, while on your pages menu, right-click on the page that should be page 1 in your numbering. First, remove the check next to "Allow Document Pages to Shuffle". Once that's done, right-click the page again and go to the "Numbering and Sections Options". Instead of "Automatic Page Numbering", select the option below it, "Start Page Numbering at...". This forces the numbering on this page to start at whatever you set, and the rest of the documents follow accordingly.
After you've done this, you'll notice your pages now have their own "section" in your pages menu.
I believe that after you've done all this, you can re-check the "Allow Document Pages to Shuffle" option. It will ask if you want to maintain the current number of pages on this spread. I chose yes, as it kept the first two pages of the spread together. However, choosing no did not alter the section creation.
Hope that helps.
