My next two kanzashi!!

Because we're totally not counting the one that was UTTER FAIL that I gave up on before these two!



The pretty pic, artfully blurred.


The scale. The petals of these were made from 2-in square fabric scraps.


The first one of these two that I made is on the right here, and on the left in most of the other pics. You can see that it's too thick, and would be absolutely no good on someone with hair as thin as mine. It might work if you had thick hair that would come up around it and disguise the sides, or if you had a bun or coil of hair and nestled it in the middle.

But I decided to try trimming the petals a little more closely for the second one, and it turned out MUCH nicer.


Here's the backs. The thick one is on the left, and the thinner one is on the right.


This one approximates the true colors a bit better than the others.



The cat was too wild to model them tonight, so I had to attempt to use her as a spokesmodel instead of a fashion model. Here she is trying to decide which one she likes better.


Naturally, she picks the one closest to her...


...and tries to eat it.

Thank you! :D They seem to be the perfect solution at the moment for my sheer unwillingness to sit in front of the computer and do art. XD

(I need to get to a livelongnmarry commission, and I suspect I'll do it traditionally instead of digitally if I still can't face sitting at the computer. XD)

She so desperately wants to lie down in that box, and there's just too much cat for it. So she goes over and sits in it every so often, and tries a few different ways to lie down, then gives up and tears through the apartment like a maniac instead.
