* We both have talked over backstory, setting, and future developments enough that I need someone who doesn't know any of that to read it and see if it makes any sense.

Thanks! And thanks for reading mine AGAIN, and so fast, too. I hope the amount of effort I've put into it is reflected in the results, because I was up till 4:00 AM last night, after being up till 3:00 AM the night before, working on it. That is literally a first for me. (Working till 4:00 AM, I mean. I think I've done 3:00 before. Definitely 2:00.)

Noooooooo, now you have put horrible portmanteaus in my head! I will not even type them out, they are so horrible.

I am still torn between the worst ever being the vomitous nature of Love (Logan/Veronica) or the unnecessary need to abbreviate Jim/Pam into Jam.

Though it cracks me up that the portmanteaus for Mohinder/Sylar on Heroes are Mylar and Cylinder.

Oh good! I'm a little nervous about it for [spoilery] obvious reasons, plus some less-obvious ones (written under an altered state of mind; not terribly happy with my prose writing in general at the moment) so that's good to hear.

I like your prose a lot! I actually did the writer's admiration post on springgreen precisely because I had just been whining to Yoon a few days ago on how everyone did prose/character/plot/imagery better than me, and then figured that it might be nice to let those people know I was jealous of them in a good way.
