*snerk* I love posting to a community and seeing everyone talking to each other as it arrives in my inbox. Here's a snarky reply I just saw to a complaint about Viz's translations:

Oh I see so they translated it in to english :p
You know, FMA, HP, or LotR, this would spark wank galore. But this is DN, so I think this is about as wanky as it's going to get.

Well, that and that I unsubbed a while ago.
Your points in-thread about the utility of writing to companies are on-spot and embarass me deeply. I will have to overcome my innate reluctance and write to them about X. Although if they *did* start releasing it unflipped, I would just have to buy the entire damn series all over again. Oh, my head hurts. Although not as much as my bank account.

Occasionally the honorifics add a lot to it, as they do with the shifting relationships in Death Note, but ti's not like there's any serious sound effects in DN to translate. :/
