Woke up at 5 AM with a stomach bug, so stayed home from work. LOVELY.

Me, to cat sitting in cat bed on human bed: Cat, I've taken your heating pad from under you, warmed it in the microwave, and put it under the cat bed on the sofa! Come in here! It's warm, I promise!

Cat, to me: Noooooooooooooooo, I not move, it cooooold!!!!!!!


(I do like this laptop - the ability to sit on the sofa and piggyback on the unsecured network one of my neighbors is running is really nice.)

Awww, I hope you're feeling better! (I'm on tenterhooks re illnesses myself - we visited my sister's family over the weekend ... and my nephew had strep.)

I'm thinking it may be a lactose-intolerance episode where the pills I took last night with the cheese I ate didn't work. Hopefully. If that's the case, I'm well over the worst of it. :)

I'm glad to hear it ... there's nothing as desolate-feeling as being awakened out of a sound sleep in a chilly room to hustle to the john ... .

I expected to be vilely ill after two Hanukkah dinners of fried foods in a row (Saturday: potato latkes and sweet potato latkes; Sunday: potato latkes and homemade jelly doughnuts), but I seem to have escaped. I guess both my sister and our friend Sharon have improved their frying techniques this year.

(And on a vaguely related note - because I took pix at both events - why in the world does Flickr insist on a Yahoo! ID? Just what I needed, two more accounts instead of one ... does it send its business e-mails only to the Yahoo! account? I'll have to see if it lets me set up an auto-forward to my Earthlink account.)

Yeah. I kicked up the heat so any subsequent trips would not be as bad. XD

(I think maybe FLickr got bought by Yahoo. Various things here and there I have accounts on are starting to require Yahoo! IDs. I've got one thanks to a couple of mailing lists I'm on, but it's always a problem to remember it. XD)
