WHY AM I STILL AWAKE?
(a) Because I'm an idiot.
(b) Because I installed Civ IV, like an idiot, which means I got sucked into it.
(c) Because I was posting my last springkink pic. (rated G, Grimmjow/Orihime in a pose with a noted lack of sexual tension.)
(d) All of the above.

Because that's why I'd be awake at this hour, had I not my own reasons ;)
Post descripts of how you play that game, btw!! :)

However, playing Korea, aggressively building Settlers, and establishing a foothold on the bottom half of a very large peninsula seems to be a very good way of playing: I've just discovered radio and am working on rock & roll as of the early 19th century, and I'm way far ahead of everyone else. XD
(Also, my diplomatic habit of randomly contacting other civilizations at random and offering them a little bit of gold, or a few resources, as a gift pays off in spades, since they don't attack me. XD)

THAT was foolish. (Says the voice of experience....)

Mind you, I'm working at the easiest level and I restricted my opponents to four, so I stacked the deck a wee bit in my favor at the start. XD

I tend to play at tyro level most of the time. I mean, I'm doing it for fun, and the part that I like best is the exploration of the map and the business of fitting cities into it.
I might be more interested in the later part of the game if I had Civ IV, but it ain't gonna happen anytime soon ... this old Mac does 99% of what I need, it's silly to replace or upgrade it (which might not even be possible) for one game.
