Went to the Japanese Festival at the Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth today and took a lot of photos of the garden. I got a couple of really nice photos and a bunch of merely nice ones - the gardens are designed so well that you just about can't take a bad photo. They're also designed so well that even when there's lots of people, you can still find aspects of the garden where you can't see very many of them. I still got there early enough so as not to deal with the worst of the crowd.
This is an example of how the best photos are completely accidental - I was taking picture sof the branch reflecting on the water and didn't see the koi there. :) Minimal digital manipulation to brighten the koi a bit as well as the overall colors.

I have no idea what kind of flower this is. The picture would be *really* nice without that other stick in the way, but hey, life ain't perfect.

If anyone wants to use pictures for reference or backgrounds or web graphics or whatever, here's a preview of 21 stock photos I uploaded to DeviantArt. To download the zip file (1.7 megabytes), click on the image and it'll take you to DeviantArt. Then, just click on the arrow underneath the preview image there, and it'll download. Provided the DA servers aren't being wonky. :)
