This must be the day for snarking on Eragon--I was just re-reading the AgonyBooth review (http://www.agonybooth.com/recaps/Eragon.aspx) of the movie because someone mentioned it on fandom_lounge.

That's because Eragon is thinly veiled crossover fic.

Yes, yes it is. Because of this, I was VERY depressed to not find any actual crossover fic. Though I did only go through 3 pages...

Not even I am THAT brave. The summaries alone were entertaining enough. Oh, except the ones on how to annoy the characters and the movie making one...those were marvelous.

And yes, doing that was a MUCH better read than actually reading Eragon and Eldest(I still boggle at the fact that Eldest managed to be a far worse plotted and written book than Eragon...isn't it supposed to be the reverse?
