And what's in your bag?

[livejournal.com profile] jonquil posted about a time capsule from 1957 that included the contents of a woman's purse from that era, and asked what unusual or interesting things were in your bag. I started listing the contents, but it got a bit long, so I'm moving it over here, and asking *you* the same question.

The bag in question is basically a small messenger bag with FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST emblazoned on it. I got it before I watched the anime, actually: I liked the shape and size of the bag, and it was the least objectionable logo at the time. If I'm feeling like a giant dork when I go into places, I turn it around so the logo is facing me. :)

Contents:

-- A veritable pharmacy of non-daily meds, including Relpax, Advil, Lactaid, and Imodium (because when you need it, you need it now).

-- A box that separates out your pills by day, which I used to take my daily meds to A-Kon and haven't removed from my bag yet.

-- Currently, my passport, which I picked up from mom in anticipation of the Japan trip.

-- Two DVDs with Hogfather and various Time Teams burned on them (I have no idea why they're in there).

-- Two 1 gig flash drives, both of which I got free (one with a stupendous rebate deal, one for answering a survey on digital collections). ETA: Forgot to add they both have copies of all my art pieces for A-Kon. :) I need to burn them to disk so I can clean them off my hard drive, which is starting to wheeze under the weight of all my data.

-- The world's largest collection of irrelevant receipts.

-- Two outdated shopping lists.

-- Lottery tickets from Christmas I haven't redeemed yet, which may be out of date.

-- Five pens, one of which is normal and four of which are funky neon ink from a wedding, where they were supplied for us to write stuff on cards to tie to a tree. I will never ever use them, but they will languish in my bag until one of them explodes all over the irrelevant receipts and I kick myself for not taking them out and throwing them away.

-- A used book by Gervase Phinn I gave my mom for Christmas and stole back this weekend to read myself.

-- My iPod.

-- My phone.

-- An Office Depot membership card that goes on my keychain, but which broke. I was very strident at the clerk at Staples the other day when I went in and he tried to sell me on their free membership, because I have had it up to HERE with membership card, because I have way too many.

-- A receipt from my oil change, on which I scribbled the titles and authors of two books that were discussed on the radio on the way to Houston, since my phone wasn't able to reach Livejournal. (LJ is a great reminder list, as long as I can access the bloody thing.)
