I've been working on Spindrift for five days solid without a break, so when I came to a temporary stopping point, I decided to work on something else, otherwise I would go INSANE.

It's not finished or anything, and will probably be done as a pencil piece or something, but it's a start.

About three of you are now squealing "It's Ginko!" and the rest are going "Uh ... who?" He's from Mushishi the manga and anime and yes, he is missing that eye.

It's her right, unless you want to argue that the two panels in which her eye/s appear were both taking place in a mirror.

I've got an artbook by Mitsukazu Mihara that has at least one picture of a woman missing an eye, although it's not from any particular story as far as I can tell. :)

ohh, he feels a lot like the canonical ginko :O But he also feels like you drew him. What I'm trying to say...it's hard when doing fan art to balance your style with elements of the canon. But I think you nailed it here :O

Hee. :D I mostly remember that once I got his cheek curve down, it seemed terribly familiar to me for some reason i couldn't place until I remembered a friend of mine who has a cheek curve exactly like that. XD

Baaaaby!Ginko so sad/snarky/cute! I hope more of my maladjusted angst-ridden darkness-hatted mystically wounded fictional boyfriends grow up to be as cool as Ginko.

Also the [spoiler-font!] woman covered in mushi-writing [/spoiler] was AWESOME and reminded me of a similar plotpoint/image from elsewhere, one that now I can't remember except that it was similarly awesome.

I can't remember it either, but it sounds vaguely familiar. Hrm.

Oh yeah - remind me about your Fakir request after I get Spindrift done and I'll see what I can do. ;)
