[livejournal.com profile] rachelmanija just posted the script from Project Blue Rose in a fit of technopeasantry, if you care. If you've got the comic, you can now compare and see where I added lines, ignored her instructions, and in all ways rewrote it. XD

(I lie. She rewrote some bits too, as I complained about them. XD)

Hee! I liked it, but then I figured I would. (I'll tell her, too.)

I guess now I will buy the finished version.

Listen, would it be OK/suitable/a good idea - or not - to mention Spindrift over at neilgaimanboard?

A comic writer who joined recently was flogging his upcoming stuff under the "Other Writers" section, and on impulse I checked with one of the board mods whether it would be OK to mention another comic that I knew of, and he said "it would be quite all right - all we ask is permission, and that you keep things tactful." I know there are some manga fans there.

Just a thought I had - it's a very busy board, and it has some very fine people.

It's fine with me, especially since it's original and not fanfic of any kind, so there are no legal issues.

By the way, Neil knows me. If it's a board where he himself hangs out, say, "Rachel from the Jim Henson Company, who wrote All the Fishes Come Home to Roost-- short woman with glasses and dark hair."

Oh, and if you do that, please link so people can check out the pretty art! http://www.projectbluerose.com/projects/spindrift/

Or we could link to, y'know, the main page of the site so that they can see that we have several things there including another comic and tutorials.

I'd rather like the Googlebots to crawl to the main page of the site from the various links hither and thither, since there's more keywords there. :)

I'll probably put a couple of in-line links in the post as well as the main URL, so there should be several Googlbot starting points (unless that seems ill-advised ... I don't know whether the Googlebots will ignore subsequent links to the same site when found in the same page, or something like that).

I have no idea what Googlebot behavior is. :) So, worth a try. XD

Actually Neil doesn't come on the board - that's one of the things we always have warn visitors & newcomers about ... it is the official board, sponsored by the publisher, but the questions from the input link on the main part of his site keep him plenty busy without trying to keep up with the very prolific board posters.

But if you want me to add that basic info (about Henson Company and your book) into the post, I can. I was going to make it a bit chatty anyway, so it's less like an ad.

Sure, whatever you like. My website is www.rachelmanijabrown.com, if you want to make a link.
