They should be fairly simple - I made an effort to design the pages to look good in just the inks and spotted blacks because I felt Project Blue Rose suffered from overtoning, which I ended up doing because the inks weren't enough on their own.
Digital. And, luckily for my RAM, 300ppi. And the printer I'm doing the page size for prints in greyscale, not B&W, so the problems associated with strict B&W are neatly sidestepped.
Well, I'd be happy to help if I can. I don't have my Wacom tablet with me right at this moment, but would be able to later tonight (after 9 pm) or all day tomorrow and most of Friday, if you have a way to send me the details of what you want where and how. I think I should be able to manage lettering, at the least. I've got Photoshop and Illustrator, but not any of the comic specific software. And if it would be easier to explain over the phone, you can call me, too.
Well, I've got 11 pages of the final 44ish inked right now, and not cleaned up, so tonight would be a wee bit early to start. XD mscongeniality volunteered to do lettering ... if this works out, it could mean an assembly line, with less work for each of us.
Let me scan and clean up tonight, and see what my inks look like, and send you some examples from manga of the sort of thing I want to go for. :)
XD If I can scam convince someone to do my toning, this whole thing may work out and take a huge load off of me. Since, as you can tell, I'm starting to move into Panic Mode on the project.
I'd have to do a quick layout guide, since I designed most of the panels with a certain layout of the speech balloons in mind, but that shouldn't be too incredibly hard.
Hee. :D I'm still learning myself. I may, at some point, put a few sample pages up on <a href="http://www.projectbluerose.com</a>projectbluerose.com</a> for people to use for practice. :)
Ach! I would but I have a comic due the end of this month myself. If you can't get enough help let me know and I'll see if I can juggle what I've got with what you need?
I want to make some minor cuts to the script, to reduce the amount of words crammed into the balloons (and because now that I've seen the art, some of what I wrote into the dialogue is redundant); would now be a good time to do those and send them to you?
