On an amusing note, when I searched Google Images for "mello's fabulous ass," the first two pictures were my current default icon of Mello staring upwards in horror, and my icon of L saying "I'm not wearing any pants."

And in other news: tell me ghost stories! Stories, anecdotes, weird little unexplained things that happened to you, someone in your family, a friend, some chick you knew in highschool, that sort of thing. Entertain me!

It's not much of a story, and I will point out that I'm a hardline skeptic, but the storyteller and anthropologist in me love hearing Stories of the Unexplained.* Mine happened right before my senior year of highschool. I was dating a guy at that point (didn't last long), and he came over to my house on a day when both my parents were gone - it was the week before school started, so they were both at work preparing. He and I were back in my room, making out, when I clearly heard the front door opening and a male voice call out "Steph?" The guy heard it too, and jumped off the bed, tucking his shirt and smoothing his hair, and we both left the room and walked down the hall ... to find there was no one there. He was shaken up enough that he left and went home.

(Skeptical explanation - I was nervous enough already at my parents possibly discovering us, since my dad didn't keep regular hours and could show up at any moment. I probably heard something and interpreted it as that, and my sudden, panicked reaction may have cued the guy that I thought someone was home. We didn't talk about it, so I really can't be sure what he did or did not hear. All I know for sure is that at that point, he said "I better go home" and left. But it makes a good story anyway. :D)

* And I won't argue with anyone that nothing happened - obviously something happened to them. I may disagree about the ultimate cause of said event (something neurological or psychological, mistaken identity, leaping to conclusions on incorrect data, hoax, etc.), but that's not the important part - the anthropologist in me thinks that the meaning of the event, the event's interpretation, and the social context are the important and interesting bits.

Oh, yeah, no one ever blames the ghost for running away. XD Especially my friends who have met my mom.

Speaking of ghost stories, have you seen the 11-episode anime series "Ayakashi~ Classic Japanese Horror"? It's 11 episodes, and oh MAN. Japanese ghosts do NOT play. It retells some classical Japanese horror stories, including the story of Oiwa, and in it, you get to hear Gojyo's voice actor getting well and truly pwned by a ghost.

Oooo, no I haven't seen it. XD I'll have to track it down.

It's been liscened, so the fansubbers pulled it, but I'm sure you have...Ways. >XD

And the first ep is on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcWOtjXunHc). Yoshitaka Amano did the character designs, so the whole thing is animated in his style.
