I'm now watching the HBO miniseries Rome, aired last year. Just finished episode 3 and all I have to say is the piratical, amoral, drinking, gambling, stabby sonofabtich that is Titus Pullo is LOOOOVE!



He just swiped the entire fucking treasury, didn't he?

Yay Rome! One of the few TV shows in years I have actually managed to FOLLOW while it aired. So full of delightful bastards.

I know! I'm loving the character actors playing the elder statesmen of Rome, and all the clothing and hair on the women. coffeeandink pointed me to vaznetti's LJ, where she has posts about the show episode by episode from the viewpoint of someone who knows a hell of a lot more than me about Roman social life and politics. (What I know is mostly focused on the Romans in Britain due to an archaeology class in Wales, which is almost a century later than the events of Rome.)

Someone mentions in the comments on one of the episodes that they know someone with an icon of Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus with the caption "Roman buddy cops" or something like that. XD
