People with TiVos and the ability to burn to DVD...
If there's anyone out there who has a TiVo and the ability to burn a program to DVD (and to mail it to me as soon as possible after it airs) and the National Geographic Channel, I just may need a copy of Fight Science. It airs next on Monday, at 9 Eastern/8 Central.
ETA: It is now EVEN MORE IMPORTANT because a thunderstorm just took out my cable, halfway through the show. AARG!

If all else fails, want a copy on tape? (me and my archaic methods)

(I'm going to be posting to the Cepheid list, too. And I can't say more than "may be needing it" until I talk to someone else. OOOO MYSTERIOUS)

OT: Is the convention center frigidly airconditioned? What sort of clothes should I bring?

2) It has been, although A-Kon is traditionally more frigid. Bring a jacket - outside it'll be hotter than hell, most likely, and chances are inside it'll be cold. I'm going to try to remember to bring my jacket home from work (our conference room is a meat locker) and put that on over my normal clothes. It might rain, too, so an umbrella, or a jacket that will serve to shield you from rain, or a cavalier attitude towards your hair might be called for, although if you opt for the jacket route, it'll still be hotter than hell, even when it's raining, most likely.
