Pictures!

Today the cat and I spotted our cute new neighbor! He's androgynous, leggy, a bit scruffy, and thoroughly working the disreputable look.

And may possibly be female. He didn't get close enough for me to check. :)

I first saw the cat staring intently out the window an wandered over to see what had caught her attention. I thought it was a cat at first, until he poked his head out enough for me to see.

And then he wandered around the area for a while...

...before heading off to take care of business.

The cat's reaction?

I think she's in love.

And a couple of bonus kittyspam pics, of an interesting place she's found to sit in recent days.

P.S. Mello hates you.

Does Mello hate the raccoon, is the question.

I think Mello is peeved at the raccoon.

How cute~! Was it a baby? The other day, I saw a fox in my yard... but it ran away before I could take a photo >_

I think he's adolescent - he's got that leggy, rangy, gangly look and Mama wasn't anywhere around. I think he's just recnetly moved out on his own. :)

Aww! Wow, is that a daytime shot? I've only ever seen raccoons at night.

It's actually much darker than it looks - Photoshop's Auto Levels feature brightened it up to look like day. In the shot where he's crawling off the wall, the yellowy-orangey part on the wall is actually the light from a security lamp cast onto the wall.

It was pretty solidy twilight, and when he was behind the shed, I had a hard time making him out and thought he was a cat at first.
