Linkblogging
I've discovered a new time-sink: medical blogs. I've always liked reading The Making of a Surgeon-type books, and many medical professionals, like many of everyone else, keep blogs. The best place to start is the Grand Rounds, which is a roundup of good medblog posts, hosted at one or another of a number of blogs each week. This week it's over at Emergiblog.
And along similar but not quite the same lines, here's a couple more blogs I've got on my RSS aggregator:
Polite Dissent - Medical reviews and nitpicks of comics and House.
The Comics Curmudgeon - snark and innuendo about daily newspaper strips.
Suspension of Disbelief, where a lawyer nitpicks comics, often focusing on (naturally) law and (not so obviously) archery.
Tales from the Liberry, by a small-town library worker who seems to be smack dab in the middle of a David Lynch movie.
