Also Light speaks reads approximately 38753798542 languages, judging by his shelves. However, considering he considers English "a pain" to read, they probably don't allow anyone to take more than two or three languages in school, and there is NO WAY he has enough time to properly study anything he doesn't take in school, my assumption is that his ability in other languages can't be much better than mine: he can work it out well enough without needing dictionaries every few sentences, but he's not actually fluent.
