Oh, how right I was. This movie is 31 flavors of awesome with sprinkles on top. It's the tender love story of a terminally ill man who was reborn as a Pakistani squid, and his fight to regain his former glory as a champion professional wrestler. Except this time, he's got 8 extra appedages, an ink sac, and (presumably) a beak. His rival, enraged at the prospect that he might be defeated in the ring by a giant squid, transforms himself into a similarly giant octopus. The two oversized cephalopods do goodly battle, finally giving a definitive answer to "who would win in a fight between a squid and an octopus". Calamari Wrestler then fights a giant shrimp (The Squilla Boxer), who turns out to be his unknown father, transformed into a crustation. Squilla then reveals that Octopus is actually Calamari's brother, and everyone lives happily ever after.

The movie is actually makes a degree or two more sense than the ham-handed summary I gave. But it's the insane aspects that actually make the movie entertaining.
